Cosy warmth for the whole family
The combustion chamber of a room-sealed pellet stove is completely airtight. In addition, room-sealed wodtke pellet stoves have a tightly closing (TYPE CC) firebox door. In a pellet stove that operates independently of the ambient air, the oxygen required is not supplied from the room in which it is installed, but via a combustion air supply connected to the outside or via an exhaust air chimney. A pellet stove tested for room-sealed operation in accordance with EN 16510 is therefore ideal for installation in very airtight buildings, such as low-energy or passive houses, in combination with a controlled residential ventilation/ventilation system.
Of course, all room-sealed pellet stoves and wood-burning stoves from wodtke can also be operated in a room-sealed manner, i.e., without an external air supply.
In any case, you should involve your local district chimney sweep (building inspector for combustion appliances) at an early stage of your planning. Information on whether your desired stove has been tested and approved for room-sealed operation according to EN 16510 can be found in the operating manual of the respective model.
